Preparation for Installation

To achieve the best audio quality for your system, we recommend building a dedicated VLAN for this system with network equipment compatible with multicast protocol.

Important Requirements

  • The device and the PC running the SIPConfigTool desktop app must be on the same LAN
  • Network and Switch Requirements:
    • Minimum CAT5 cable with maximum of 100 meters from the device to switch
    • Make sure the following ports are open on your router or firewall:
      • UDP/TCP 5060 for SIP signaling
    • Router: PIM is required if multicast traffic needs to pass through multiple routers
    • Switch: Should support IGMP snooping to prevent multicast flooding

Important Pre-Installation Planning

We strongly recommend completing all device configuration before physical installation in your facility. This systematic approach will significantly reduce installation time, minimize errors, and simplify troubleshooting. Please follow these pre-installation best practices:

  • Create a Network Plan: Document your IP addressing scheme, ensuring all devices have compatible network settings (subnet mask, gateway, etc.)
  • Assign Static IP Addresses: Configure and document static IP addresses for all devices to prevent communication issues that can occur with changing DHCP addresses
  • Maintain Documentation: Create a detailed spreadsheet recording:
    • Device numbers and names
    • Assigned IP addresses
    • Physical installation locations
    • Special settings or configurations
  • Verify Configuration: Test all devices while they’re easily accessible to confirm proper operation before mounting in hard-to-reach locations
  • Follow the installation diagram provided with each speaker to mount the unit

Following these recommendations will create a more manageable deployment process, especially for multi-device installations across larger facilities.

Power the Device

Netbell-AU-711 SIP doesn’t support PoE. Use 12VDC power adapter provided with the device. Once powered, the green LED will blink, indicating the device is ready for discovery.

Download SIPConfig Tool

Download SIP Config Tool (64-bit installer or ZIP package) from:
Support Programming – Linortek Resources

64-bit Installer (Recommended)

  1. Run the installer.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

ZIP Package

  1. Extract the ZIP file.
  2. Keep all extracted files together (do not move or delete individual files).
  3. Launch the application by double-clicking the .exe file.

If Windows displays “Windows protected your PC,” click More info → Run anyway.

Configure the Device

Search and Configure Device IP

  • Click Search Devices
  • When SIP-711 appears on the list, check if its IP address matches your network
  • If not, select the device (will highlight with blue) and enter the correct IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway under Device Information (on the top)
  • Click Save, wait about 10 seconds, then click Search Devices again

Access Web Interface

Double-click the SIP-711 in the list. The default web browser will open the login page

  • Username: admin
  • Password: 123456
  • If the page doesn’t load, check your IP configurations again.

Check Network Settings

Once logged in, verify that Primary and Secondary DNS addresses match your network.
If changes are needed, go to the Network page, adjust settings, and save

Enter SIP Account Information

Navigate to Sip Setting Page

Once there fill in the information provided by your VoIP system admin:

  • User Account – paging account username
  • Password – account password
  • Display name – shown on your network
  • Server’s address – SIP domain or registrar
  • Server port – usually 5060
  • Outbound proxy address and port – if required
  • Authentication User – Authorization ID (if required)
  • Save
  • Click Logout and log back in to apply the settings.

Note: The screenshot below is only for the example.

Important: After logging back in, the System Overview should show Server Status: Connected and display your SIP server address.

See the example here.

If it does not, verify SIP credentials and DNS servers.

Configure Session Audio Settings

Navigate to Work Settings → Intercom.

Paging Settings

Use this page to configure the AU-711-SIP when used with the Netbell-NTG-B(SIP) system.

  • Input Channel: Set to Line In
  • Input Gain: Adjust between 0-100 to achieve clear audio
  • Codec: Set the appropriate codec based on your VoIP system requirements
  • Paging Tone and Tone Volume are not supported on AU-711-SIP

Important Note: Paging from the Netbell-NTG through the AU-711-SIP will only broadcast to SIP speakers. If you need to page to Linortek Basic IP Speakers, you must use a standard Netbell-AU-711 instead of the SIP version.

Button Settings

Use this section to configure the external push button connected to the AU-711-SIP.

Connect a simple closure push button to the “Call” input, or bridge the input to manually activate paging.

  • Button Mode: Select Trigger or Hold.
    • Trigger (Latching): Press once to activate, press again to stop
    • Hold (Momentary): Paging is active only while the button is pressed
  • Button to hang up: Enable this option to allow the button to terminate an active paging or call session.
  • Button1: Select Call or Paging
    • Call – Initiates intercom communication between the AU-711-SIP and a SIP endpoint
    • Paging – Triggers paging using Line In or connected Microphone
  • Destination: Enter the destination IP address or SIP endpoint for the call or paging action.

Important Note: This feature works only with SIP endpoints. If you need to interface with Linortek Basic IP Speakers, you must use a standard Netbell-AU-711 (non-SIP version).
