Introduction #
For various reasons, you might want to reset your SERVER to factory defaults, you need to use the RESET and RELOAD switches to do the resetting.
To do the factory reset, you will need to find the RESET/RELOAD (DFLT) switches on your board.
Finding the Switches #
FARGO Server
The RESET (left) and RELOAD (right) switches are located between the RJ45 network connector and the 12 VDC power connector.
KODA Server
Open the enclosure. On the right side of the internal circuit board are two push buttons:
RELOAD – Bottom button; RESET – Top button
Ultra Server
Open the enclosure. Locate the RESET switch in the bottom-right corner of the circuit board, directly above the USB-C power connector. Locate the RELOAD switch on the left edge of the circuit board.
Netbell-K (and all variants)
Open the enclosure to access the internal circuit board. The RELOAD switch is located in the right corner of the unit, and the RESET switch is located next to the RJ45 network connector.
Netbell-NTG
To locate the switches, use a screwdriver to remove the cover. The RESET and RELOAD switches are located between the RJ45 network connector and the 12 VDC power connector. The RESET switch is on the left, and the RELOAD switch is on the right.
iTrixx-WFMN-Di/ADi
On the iTrixx-WFMN boards, the RESET and DFLT switches are used to perform a factory reset. To access the switches, use a screwdriver to remove the cover. Then, use a bent paper clip to press the switches. The switches are located at the top of the unit. The RESET switch is on the left, and the DFLT switch is on the right.
Reset to Factory Defaults procedure
To restore the server to its factory default settings:
- Press the RESET button. The device will enter Bootload mode. In this state, the RED LED will blink rapidly while the GREEN LED remains on.
- While the device is in Bootload mode, press and hold the RELOAD (DFLT) button for approximately 10–15 seconds, until the RED LED changes to a steady 1-second blink rate.
- Release the button. The server will restore its factory default settings and reboot.
You can also restore the factory defaults from the web interface:
- Navigate to System → Load/Reboot System.
- Select the Restore Default Values checkbox.
- Click Boot Mode.
- Wait for the device to reboot. When the RED LED returns to its normal 1-second blink rate, the factory reset is complete.
