To be able to use different schedules for different zones, a Netbell-8 bell controller will be needed to connect between the amplifier and the speakers for zone control and bell scheduling. This is the quick setting instructions for how to setup the zone control. For the basic settings on each device, please print the product full manual for reference. Wiring the speakers
Please follow the Zone Control Wiring Schematic below to wire the speakers to the Netbell-8 and the amplifier. Connect the speaker Com wire to the amplifier Com terminal, select the 70V transformer taping you would like to use, then connect it to the Netbell-8 C terminal, finally connect a wire from the amplifier 70 terminal to the Netbell-8 NO terminal. If you need to connect more than one speaker to each zone, please refer to Page 8 of the Netbell-NTG User Manual for wiring schematic

For instructions on how to wire the Netbell-NTG to the amplifier, please refer to Page 5-6 of the Netbell-NTG User Manual for wiring schematic.
For how to connect a push switch to the digital input on Netbell-NTG trigger a tone manually, please refer to Page 6 of the Netbell-NTG User Manual for wiring instruction.
Software Configuration
Once the wiring is completed, power on the devices, connect the Netbell-NTG and the Netbell-8 to your network, you can now login to the device webpage from the device IP address to program the software.
To access the software, you will need to find the IP address of the two devices from your network. To find the devices IP address, please refer to Page 9 of the Netbell-NTG User Manual.
Once you login to the webpage, you will need to set your Time and Date first. For instructions on how to set the time and date, please refer to Page 11 of the Netbell-NTG User Manual.
Link the IP address
To use the Zone control, we will need to link the Netbell-NTG IP address to the Netbell-8, so that the tones generated by the NTG can be sent to the speakers, and controlled by the Netbell-8 schedules. The Netbell-NTG is only used for tone generating.
To link the Netbell-NTG to the Netbell-8 controller, we encourage you NOT to use DHCP on your controllers, use a STATIC IP or a specific IP address if your network allows. So that in the event of power outage, you will not need to reset IP addresses. To use static IP on your controller, login to the webpage, go to Configure – Network Config page, uncheck Enable DHCP box, enter the IP address assigned to that device, then click SAVE CONFIG button.
To link the Netbell-NTG IP address to the Netbell-8 controller, login to Netbell-8, go to Configure –Remote Device Config from the dropdown menu.
On the Remote Device page, enter the Netbell-NTG information, including Device Name (default name is SERVER if you haven’t changed it), IP Address, Login User Name and Password.
Click Save Config button after finish.

Assign a tone on Netbell-NTG
After linking the two devices together, the first step is to assign a tone for each zone. There are 4 relays on the Netbell-NTG Relay Control page, you need to assign a tone to a relay, this tone will be the one to play to your speakers in that zone. For example, you can use relay 1 for Zone 1 speaker, relay 2 or Zone 2… and so on. For instructions of how to assign a tone to a relay, please refer to Page 12 of the Netbell-NTG User Manual.
Link the Relay
To schedule a tone for the speakers connected to that zone, we need to link the relay on the Netbell-8 to the Netbell-NTG relay you assign a tone to, so when you add a schedule for that zone, it will use this tone.
Login to the Netbell-8 controller web page, go to Service – Relays, select Relay 1, click the Edit icon, you will be at the Set Relay page.
- Name: Give this relay a name.
- Relay Type: select Normal and Remote, this means when we turn the relay on, it will trigger the Relay on Netbell-NTG to send the sound to Amplifier.
- Pulse Width: How long you want the tone to play. For example, if you want to relay to be on for 10 second, put 10 here, then select Sec from the next box.
- Pulse Width Multiplier: select Sec if you want the relays to be on for 10 second as the sample above.
- Location ID: Enter the Netbell-NTG ID which we set on Remote Device Setup page; the first column No. is the device ID.
- Relay at Location: From 1-4, depend on which tone you want that zone to play.
Click the Save button, the tone on the Netbell-NTG has been linked to play to the speakers on that zone.

Repeat the above step to link other relays on the Netbell-8 to the Netbell-NTG relays.
Once you complete the above settings, you can now add schedules on the Netbell-8 for break time alarm.
Please note: On the bell schedules page, Bell 1 represents Zone 1, Bell 2 represents Zone 2… and so on, you need to check/uncheck the pips 1-8 for each zone for that event.
For detailed instructions on how to add bell schedules, please refer to Page 13-14 of the Netbell-NTG User Manual.
