
1. Introduction
This comprehensive guide provides detailed instructions for configuring and operating the Netbell IP Audio System. You will learn how to effectively add, integrate, and control various Netbell audio devices using the Network Audio Configuration Tool (NACT).

2. Preparation for Installation
To achieve the best audio quality for your IP paging system, we recommend building a dedicated VLAN for this system with network equipment compatible with multicast protocol. Netbell IP paging devices support PoE/PoE+, and a properly configured network infrastructure will ensure a smooth installation.
Important Requirements
- The speakers and the PC running the NACT desktop app must be on the same LAN
- Network and Switch Requirements:
- Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) Switch Ports
- Minimum CAT5 cable with maximum of 100 meters from the device to switch
- Network switch capacity to handle power loads for all devices
- Router: Must support PIM (Protocol Independent Multicast) if multicast/broadcast goes from one subnet to another
- Switch: Should support IGMP snooping to prevent flooding while multicast

Important Pre-Installation Planning
We strongly recommend completing all device configuration before physical installation in your facility. This systematic approach will significantly reduce installation time, minimize errors, and simplify troubleshooting. Please follow these pre-installation best practices:
- Create a Network Plan: Document your IP addressing scheme, ensuring all devices have compatible network settings (subnet mask, gateway, etc.)
- Assign Static IP Addresses: Configure and document static IP addresses for all devices to prevent communication issues that can occur with changing DHCP addresses
- Create and Configure Groups: Set up all your speaker groups and ensure proper device assignments before physical installation
- Maintain Documentation: Create a detailed spreadsheet recording:
- Device numbers and names
- Assigned IP addresses
- Physical installation locations
- Group assignments
- Special settings or configurations
- Verify Configuration: Test all devices while they’re easily accessible to confirm proper operation before mounting in hard-to-reach locations
Following these recommendations will create a more manageable deployment process, especially for multi-device installations across larger facilities.
3. Power the Device
Each device requires only a single PoE (Power over Ethernet) CAT5/5e/6 connection to operate if the device is POE enabled. The Netbell IP paging devices come with a DC power jack and RJ45 connector on a 1ft lead.
Connection Instructions:
- Connect a CAT5 cable to the RJ45 connector on the device
- Connect the other end to a PoE or PoE+ switch to power the unit
- If a PoE switch is not available, use a PoE or PoE+ power injector to supply power over the CAT5 cable in conjunction with a non-PoE switch
Power-On Sequence:
When the device is first powered on and connected to the PoE switch:
- Both the Blue and Green LED lights will turn on for about 3 seconds
- The green LED will begin blinking while the blue LED stays solid
- At this point, the device is discoverable from the NACT software
4. NACT Software
The Network Audio Configuration Tool (NACT) is a free desktop application used for the initial setup of your Linortek Netbell IP paging system. Once the system is set up, you will only need this app when you need to change device configurations.
Installation Instructions:
- Download the Network Audio Configuration Tool from: https://resources.linortek.com/support-programming/
- Extract the zip file on your computer
- You will see 4 files in the NAConfigTool folder:
- NAConfigTool.exe (main application)
- mfc140u.dll (required file)
- msvcp140.dll (required file)
- VCRUNTIME140.dll (required file)
- Double-click “NAConfigTool.exe” to run the app
Important Notes:
- Do not delete any of the 4 files in the folder
- You can copy and paste the application file (.exe) to a different location (such as your desktop) for easy access. However, the other 3 .dll files must remain with the application
- When opening the program, you may see a Windows security message saying “Windows protected your PC.” This is normal:
- Click “More info”
- Click “Run anyway” (the application is safe)
- The configuration tool uses temporary UDP ports as a UDP client, automatically assigned by the system. To be able to group the devices and create address books please make sure you create an Inbound rule for UDP port range 8877–8878, 49152-65535 under Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security on your PC.

Using NACT to Discover Devices:
- Launch the NACT software and ensure your computer is on the same network as the devices
- The tool will automatically search for compatible devices on your local network
- Any compatible devices should appear in the device list automatically
If no devices appear after 30 seconds, click the “Search” button to try again
Device Information Displayed in NACT:

When the NACT program finds your devices, it will display:
- Status: (Online/Offline)
- Device Number: Each device comes with a device number labeled on the device to help identify it on the network (it can be changed in basic settings)
- IP Address: Each device comes with a fixed IP address (can be changed to match your network settings)
- MAC Address
- Device Name (if set)
- Device Type
- Firmware Version
- Server IP
- Device Status (Idle/Realtime playing/Recording)
- Location (Local Network/Address Book)
- Device Properties (Device information)
Note: Each IP audio device has a unique number printed on it. Please use this Device NO if you need to locate it in the software.

5. Network Configuration
This is the general setting for all Netbell IP audio devices.
Once the device is powered on, the NACT will automatically detect the device and display its information, allowing you to begin configuration.
Note: All devices come with a fixed IP address by default. You must change this by either choosing to use DHCP or setting a static IP for each device.
Configuration Steps:
- Double-click the device in the NACT device list to open the Settings page
A window will pop up displaying the device information

- Click the Basic Settings tab
- In the Device Information section:
- The Device NO is the default device number, which matches the label on the device and package (it can be changed as needed, numbers only, 10-digit max)
- Enter a Device Name (e.g., Building1, note: device names cannot exceed 15 characters)
- Set Device IP Address using one of the following methods:
- Static IP (Recommended): As the IP paging system uses IP addresses for grouping /zoning and device communication, we strongly recommend setting a static IP address for each device
- Enter static IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.100), Avoid 0.0.0.0 IP Address.
- Input Subnet Mask (typically 255.255.255.0)
- Enter Default Gateway address (usually your router’s IP)
- Configure DNS servers as needed
- DHCP: For dynamic IP assignment (select Automatically Obtain IP Address)
- Set Preferred Server to 0.0.0.0 if no management server exists
- Static IP (Recommended): As the IP paging system uses IP addresses for grouping /zoning and device communication, we strongly recommend setting a static IP address for each device
Click Save to apply the settings

Note: If the device still appears with the old IP address, navigate to basic settings, ensure settings are applied correctly, and click Save. Sometimes NACT needs more time to update the main window.
6. Netbell IP Speakers
All IP Speaker series operate on 12VDC power adapter or PoE (See Preparation for Installation section for the power consumption for each type of speaker).
Add an IP Device to the Address Book
After configuring basic settings, the app will display the device’s new IP address if it was changed. Once the device is connected to the network, the app will display the device with its status.
If the device is offline it will not appear in the app. To view the device’s status from the app, you can add the device to the address book:
- Click the device you want to add to the address book.
- Click “Add” to add it to the address book. The device’s location will then change to Address Book.
- The status icon turns to blue from green.
Volume Control
To adjust volume settings:
- Double-click the device name to open its settings, then click the Playback Settings tab in the speaker settings window.
- Configure the following options:
- If you’ve already assigned the speaker to a group in earlier steps, you can skip the Assign Group configuration
- Leave the Output Cache Size at default values
- Set the Output Volume as needed (range: 0-100)
Click Save to apply configurations

Note: Assign Group is an alternative way to assign a speaker to a group. You must create a group first to use this function. One speaker can be assigned to up to 8 groups
Group Your Speakers to Create Different Zones
You can use the paging modules (intercom terminal or microphone) to page individual speakers, intercom terminals, call stations, or to groups of speakers (zones). The NACT supports creating up to 255 groups, and can be linked to paging devices.
Important Note: At least ONE group will be needed to page to the entire facility. Even if you don’t need multiple zones, you should create at least one group containing all your speakers.
To Create a Group:
- Click Group on the Main Menu
- Click New Group
- Enter Group number (1-255) and Group name
- Click OK to save the group
Assign Speakers to a Group:
You can assign speakers to different groups from either the Group menu or from the device’s Playback Setting tab.
To assign speakers to a group:
- Click the Group button
- Select the group you want to assign speakers to
- Select the devices you want to add to the group
- Click Download Group to apply the changes
- Repeat these steps to create additional (zones), if needed
Important Note: If you have issues grouping your speakers to create different zones, see Section 5 regarding UDP ports.

7. Netbell-IN-608 Intercom
The Netbell-IN-608 Intercom is a device with a built-in 4W speaker and microphone. It is suitable for two-way communication in locations such as classrooms, entrances, gates, and access points.
This device can be configured as:
- An intercom, to communicate with other intercoms or microphones
- A cast unit, to unicast, multicast, or broadcast to one or more speakers
Connection and Initial Setup:
- Connect the Netbell-IN-608 to a PoE switch
- Open the NACT app
- Locate the terminal by its Device NO
- Double-click the device name to open the settings panel
Network Configuration
Follow the instructions in Section 5 for basic network configuration
Intercom’s Audio Configuration
In this section, you can adjust the speaker volume, microphone level, and push button volume.
You can also choose whether to answer automatically or only when the push button is pressed.
Session Settings Configuration
If you plan to link your intercom terminal to another Talk Back device such as another intercom terminal or a microphone, you need to configure a session.
- Click the Session Settings tab to link your Intercom to another Talk Back device, such as another intercom terminal or a call back station.
- Configure the following options:
- Set Input to MIC
- Set Gain Level based on your environment (This controls the microphone volume.)
- Set Ring Volume to adjust chime tone level
- Set Ring Count to set how many times the chime will before the device answers automatically. To answer automatically, set this value to 100 (Default is 1)
- Set Session Volume as needed for your environment (this affects the audio heard on the receiving device).
- Enable Call Key Hang Up if you want this device to be able to end calls. Disable this function if needed (for example, if you want one-way hang up from another device)

Recording Settings Configuration
Click the Recording Settings tab if you plan to use your Intercom to broadcast to speaker(s)
Configure the following options:
- Set Audio Source to Mic
- Adjust Gain level as needed for your environment
- Enable/Disable 4-tone chime (plays on Intercom when button is pressed)
- Set Prompt Volume for button sound if enabled (this controls the volume of the speaker on the intercom)
Click Save to apply the configurations
Push Button Configuration
The intercom terminal has one push button that you can configure to activate calls. There are two working modes:
Push-To-Start, Push-To-Stop (Trigger Mode): Push once to turn on microphone. Push again to turn the microphone off.
Push & Hold to Talk (Hold Mode): Press and hold the button while speaking, then release when finished.
Configuration Steps:
- Click the Control and Status tab
- Select your preferred Key Input Mode:
- Trigger Mode: Push once to start, push again to stop
- Hold Mode: Press and hold to talk, release to stop
Communication Setup
In this section, you’ll configure the Intercom to communicate with another talk back device or to cast to a speaker or group of speakers. Only Control 1 is available since the device has only one push button.
Configuration Steps:
- Click the Control 1 settings under Control and Status
- Choose one of the following configuration options:
- To broadcast to device(s) without Talk Back function:
- Set Key Input Mode to Encode
- Select one of these options:
- Unicast: Sends audio to a specific speaker or device. (Enter the IP address of the target device below.)
- Multicast: Sends audio to a group of speakers (Enter the Group Number below)
- Broadcast: Sends audio to all available devices on this local area network (LAN)
- To use Talk Back function with the target device:
- Set Key Input to “Intercom”
- Enter the target’s IP address
- To broadcast to device(s) without Talk Back function:
Click Save to apply the configurations
8. Netbell-IN6206 IP Call Box
The Netbell-IN-6206 Call Box features a built-in microphone and a 4–8Ω, 25W-rated speaker output for two-way communication. It is ideal for use in classrooms, entrances, gates, and access points.
This device can be configured as:
- An intercom, to communicate with other intercoms or microphones
- A cast unit, to unicast, multicast, or broadcast to one or more speakers

Important Note: If this device is not configured for two-way communication, the call box will function only as a network interface. In this this mode, it connects an external 8-ohm speaker to the IP audio network for audio playback only.
Connection and Initial Setup:
- Connect the Netbell-IN-6206 to a PoE switch
- Open the NACT app
- Locate the terminal by its Device NO
- Double-click the device name to open the settings panel
Network Configuration

Call Box’s Audio Configuration

9. Netbell-MIC-608G IP Call Station
The Netbell-MIC-608G IP Call Station includes three push buttons. Each button can be configured to dial a particular group, or set one of them to communicate with another Talk Back device for two-way communication.
If needed, Button #2 can be used for Mute function. However, once set to Mute it cannot be used for communication.
Important Note: This device is not PoE compatible. Be sure to use the provided 12VDC power adapter.
Network Configuration
Please follow the instructions in Section 5 for basic network configuration.
Microphone’s Audio Configuration
In this section, you’ll configure the volume, microphone level, and the speaker’s and push button volume. You can also choose whether calls are answered automatically or only when a push button is pressed
Session Settings Configuration
- Click the Session Settings tab if you plan to link your microphone to another Talk Back device
- Configure the following options:
- Set Input to MIC
- Set Gain level as needed
- Set Ring Count by pushing the button
- Set Session Volume as needed for your environment (this affects the receiving device)
- Enable Call Key Hang Up to allow this device to end a call. Disable it if you prefer one-way hang-up control from the other device

Recording Setting Configuration
- Click the Recording Settings tab if you plan to use your Microphone to broadcast to speaker(s)
- Configure the following options:
- Set Audio Source to Mic
- Adjust Gain level as needed
- Enable or disable the 4-tone chime, which plays on the microphone when the button is pressed.
- Set Prompt Volume for button sound if enabled (this controls the volume of the speaker on the Microphone)

Push Button Configuration
There are two working modes for the push buttons:
- Push-To-Start, Push-To-Stop (Trigger Mode): Push once to turn the microphone on. Push again to turn the microphone off
- Push & Hold to Talk (Hold Mode): Press and hold the button while speaking, then release when finished

In this section, you’ll configure the Microphone to either communicate with another Talk Back device or to cast audio to a speaker or group of speakers. Since the device includes three push buttons, Controls 1 through 3 are available for configuration.
Configuration Steps for Control 1
- Click the Control 1 settings under Control and Status
- Choose one of the following configuration options:
- To cast to device(s) without Talk Back function:
- Set Key Input Mode to Encode
- Select one of these options:
- Unicast: Sends audio to a specific speaker or device. (Enter the IP address of the target device below.
- Multicast: Sends audio to a group of speakers (Enter the Group Number below)
- Broadcast: Sends audio to all available devices on this local area network (LAN)

- To use Talk Back function with the target device:
- Set Key Input to Intercom
- Enter the target’s IP address

Configuration Steps for Control 2
- Click the Control 2 settings under Control and Status
- Configure similar to Control 1, or:
- Use this button as a Mute function (a unique feature for Control 2).
- When enabled, pressing Button #2 will mute your microphone during a call

Configuration Steps for Control 3
- Click the Control 3 settings under Control and Status
- Configure similar to Control 1, or:
Assign it as a Volume Up button (a unique feature for Control 3)

Click Save to apply all configurations
10. Netbell-MIC-813 Call Station

The Netbell-Mic-813 is a desktop intercom call station. It features a 10/100M Ethernet interface, microphone
input and speaker output, 22 function keys, and a 2.8 inch LCD display. It supports unicast, multicast, and
facility-wide broadcast to Linortek IP endpoints (IP speakers, intercom terminals) through microphone or
local line input. It also supports two-way communication with intercom-capable terminals in the
system. When use the Netbell-MIC-813 as an intercom terminal, it supports quiet mode and noisy mode, push
to-answer and auto-answer, local hangup and remote hangup.

Create Address Book

Once the IP Call Station configuration is completed in the previous step, the Netbell-MIC-813 can be used to broadcast to all speakers without further configuration. To broadcast to all speakers, press the [BC] key, then press [CONF] to initiate “Network-wide Broadcasting.” All devices on the local network (cannot cross routers) will receive the audio data. Press [CNCL] when broadcasting is completed.
- Individual Device or Group Call
The Netbell-MIC-813 can be used to call to individual speaker, multiple speakers, or zones, this gives you the flexibility to communicate exactly where needed.
In order to page individual/group speakers, you will need to group the speakers first if you need zone control, for instructions on how to group the speakers, please refer to the Group Your Speakers to Create Different Zones.
Create Address Book for the Netbell-MIC-813
o Microphone Setup – Select Operation Mode
Press the MNU button to access the configuration screen. Use the [3] and [8] keys to navigate the cursor up and down through the menu options. Select “Settings” and press the CONF button. When prompted, enter the password 123456. Navigate to “Work mode” and select Local mode.
o Prepare for the Address Book
Launch the NACT application and click the Search button to discover online devices within the same network segment.
o Create Address Book
To create an address book for your Netbell-MIC-813, click the Call Station tab in the NACT application, then click Add. Enter your desired address book name in the popup window and click Next.

Select the group(s) you have created that you want to use for paging, then click Next.

Select the devices that you want to use for paging, then click Next

Select the intercom devices and click Finish. The setup wizard window will close
o Download the Devices to Netbell-MIC-813
Click the Download button to download the address book to the Netbell-MIC-813 device.
Once you click the Download button in the NACT application, you will see 3 tabs. Each tab contains the devices that were created in the previous step during address book creation: Broadcast Group, Broadcast Device, and Intercom Device. In the Download Device dialog box, select the target device where you want to download the address book from the list, which is the Netbell-MIC-813.

Doing the same to download Broadcast Device and Intercom device.
Now you are ready to use the Netbell-MIC-813 to make announcements.

• Calling Individual Speakers
Enter device number → Press [CONF] → Press [BC] to start the broadcast

• Calling a Speaker Group
Press [ZN] → Enter group number → Press [CONF] → Press [BC]
• Calling via the Address Book
Press [BC] to view the device directory structure. Use keys [3] and [8] to move the cursor up and down, [7] and [9] to navigate between devices and groups. Move the cursor to a device or group number, press the [OPT] key, then press [BC] to broadcast to the devices and device groups in the [Selected Address List].
• Mass Broadcast
To page to every single device in your IP speaker ecosystem press [BC] → [CONF]
Intercom
- Microphone Intercom Operations
- Outgoing Calls
Enter the device number, then press the [IC] to call that device or Press the [IC] and select the device from the list, then press [IC] again.
Incoming Calls
The NETBELL-MIC-813 can make outgoing calls to target devices and also function as a terminal awaiting calls from an intercom terminal. When another intercom terminal calls the Netbell-MIC-813, it will be answered automatically. To end the call, press the [CNCL] to return to the welcome screen.
11. Netbell-BT-105 Audio Terminal
The Netbell-BT-105 IP receiver is part of a network audio broadcast system designed to upgrade existing public address systems to a modern, IP-based paging infrastructure. This terminal receives broadcast audio from a control device—such as the Netbell-AU-711, intercom, or microphone—and plays it through connected speakers or a PA system.

Making the Connection
Connect the Netbell-BT-105 to both your network and a power source
- Plug the provided power supply into the 3.5mm power jack
- Connect an RJ45 cable to the Ethernet port
- Connect the other end of the RJ45 cable to your network to establish network connectivity
Connect to your existing amplifier
- Line Output: 1-channel stereo audio line output, impedance 500Ω, Signal-to-noise ratio 83dB
Connect your standard 8ohm speakers
- Speaker Output: 2 channels × 30W stereo, supports external 8Ω speaker connection
Extra Connectors
- Mic Input: 1 Mic input that can be used with microphone to make live announcements to the speaker

Network Configuration
Follow the instructions in Section 5 section for basic network configuration.
Volume Control
There is a main volume control knob on the back of the terminal. Turn it clockwise to increase the volume and counterclockwise to decrease it.
To adjust volume settings using the software:
- In the terminal settings window, click the Play Settings tab
- Configure the following options:
- No need to configure Assign Group if you have already assigned the terminal to a group (See Section 6: Group your speakers)Leave the Output Cache Size at default valuesSet the Output Volume as needed (range: 0-100)
- Save.
Note: Assign Group is an alternative way to assign a terminal to a group. You must create a group first to use this function. One terminal can be assigned to up to 8 groups.

12. Netbell-NTG-B
The following instructions apply to systems where the Netbell-AU-711 is installed with the Netbell-NTG in one enclosure.
Making the Connection
Connect the Netbell-NTG-B
- Plug the provided power supply into the connector labeled as POWER on the enclosure
- Connect an RJ45 cable to the port labeled Audio-NET for built-in Netbell-AU-711
- Connect the other end of the RJ45 cable to your network to establish network connectivity
- Connect an RJ45 cable to one of the ports labeled NTG-NET for built-in Netbell-NTG
- Connect the other end of the RJ45 cable to your network to establish network connectivity
- Important Note: Make sure to use a non-PoE switch, since the controller has already powered by the power supply
- For manual alarms: Connect simple contact closure push buttons to DI1; DI2; DI3 or DI4
Netbell-AU-711 Configuration
Network Configuration
Follow the instructions in Section 5 for basic network configuration.
Set Audio Source and Volume
- In the NACT app, double click the device to open the configuration window
- Click the Recording Settings tab
- Configure the following options:
- Set Audio Source to Linein
- Adjust Gain level as needed for your environment
- Leave Sound Settings as is, since no built-in tones are being used.

Set the AU-711 to Activate When Receiving Signals from Netbell-NTG
This configuration ensures the Netbell-AU-711 properly responds to broadcast commands from the Netbell-NTG controller.
Configuration Steps:
- Double-click the Netbell-AU-711 device in the NACT app to open the configuration window
- Click the Control and Status tab
- Configure the following options:
- Key Input Mode: Hold
Set the Priority
If you have multiple Netbell-AU-711 broadcast devices on the same system, it is important to establish a priority hierarchy. This determines which device’s broadcasts take precedence when multiple signals are triggered simultaneously.
Configuration Steps:
- Double-click the device in the NACT app to open the configuration window
- Click the Control 1 tab
- Configure the following options:
- Key Input Mode: Encode
- Transmission Target: Unicast
- Leave Target field empty
- Priority: Choose based on your needs:
- Set to 1 if you want this device to override other broadcasts
- Set to 0 if you want other broadcasts to override this device
Important Note: If you want the Netbell-NTG system to have priority (so alarms can interrupt other broadcasts to the same speaker group), set it to priority 1.

Warning: Without proper configuration all devices will have equal rights. This may cause conflicts. For example, if one device is broadcasting, another won’t be able to interrupt. This could prevent critical announcements from being heard during emergencies.
Netbell-NTG Software Overview
The Netbell-NTG software controls tone and message playback through a relay system. The system has 8 total relays (2 physical + 6 virtual) that can be configured as either zone controls or tone triggers.
You can mix and match these assignments, but the combined total must not exceed 8.
Important Limitation: The total number of zones and tone triggers combined cannot exceed 8 relays.
Planning Examples:
- If you configure 1 zone, you can assign the remaining 7 relays to tone triggers.
- If you configure 4 zones, you can assign 4 tone triggers.
- If you configure 6 zones, only 2 relays remain for tones.
System Architecture for Network Audio
The Netbell-AU-711 functions as an audio bridge when the Netbell-NTG is used to schedule and play audio over networked speakers.
- The Netbell-NTG sends commands via RESTful API to the Netbell-AU-711
- The Netbell-AU-711 processes these commands and sends audio signals to the connected speakers (zones)
This bridge setup allows you to manage audio playback across your network zones through a single control interface
Zone Control Setup Instructions
For instructions on how to setup the Netbell-NTG tone generator, such as finding the IP address to access the software, assigning an audio tone to a relay, as well as how to add bell schedules, please refer to the Linortek Netbell-NTG User Manual
Link the Netbell-AU-711 to the Netbell-NTG Remote Device
For the Netbell-NTG to communicate with the Netbell-AU-711, you must link the Netbell-AU-711 to the Netbell-NTG through their IP address. To link:
- In the Netbell-NTG software, navigate to Configure – Remote Device List and configure the following:
- Device Name: AU-711 (or the name you assigned for it in the Netbell-AU-711 settings)
- Netbell-AU-711 IP address (only numbers, for example: 192.168.5.43)
- User name/Password: Leave empty

Enable Extend Relay Range in the Netbell-NTG Software
Important Tip: By default, the Services – Relays page only shows 4 relays. To access all 8 relays:
- Go to Settings – Settings page
- Check the Extend Relay Range box
- Click SAVE
- Navigate to Services – Relays page
- In your browser’s URL bar, change relays4 to relays8

Link a Paging Group to a Netbell-NTG Relay
Let’s say you have created Group 1 for the office speakers, and you have assigned tone BELLFON1 to Relay one. Here is how to configure the Netbell-NTG to play BELLFON1 tone to office speakers:
- Navigate to Services – Relays page
- Click Edit for Relay 1 and configure the following:
- Pulse width and Pulse width multiplier: Set the zone activation duration in seconds or minutes.
- Relay type: Select Normal and Remote
- Location ID: Set to 1. This matches the line number in Remote Devices (from the previous step, where the AU-711 was set to Device No. 1).
- Relay at Location: Enter the group number you want this sound to play to.
Click Save to apply the configuration.

Setup Bell Schedules on Netbell-NTG
Once you setup the communication between the Netbell-NTG and the Netbell-AU-711, you can now use the Netbell-NTG to setup schedules for break time alerts from its built-in webpage. For details on how to setup the schedules, please refer to the Netbell-NTG User Manual.
Using an External Trigger
You may also program your Netbell-NTG to play a tone upon input from an external trigger such as a pushbutton or door contact switch.
Important note: Unless your trigger device supplies its own power, ensure your input switch is set to Pull UP (PU) – relevant for Simple contact closure push buttons.
Please open the enclosure, locate the Netbell-NTG board (it has a micro-SD card slot), and move the DIN1–4 switches to the PU position (as marked on the board).
For details on how to setup the triggers and for the board reference, please refer to the Netbell-NTG User Manual.
13. Netbell-AU-711 SIP Paging Gateway

The terminal enables announcements directly from desk phones (VoIP), leveraging existing communication
infrastructure (Note: Each gateway supports one zone – multiple zones require additional gateways)
Making the Connection
- Plug the provided power supply into the 3.5mm power jack
- Connect an RJ45 cable to the Ethernet port
- Connect the other end of the RJ45 cable to your network to establish network connectivity.
- Relay out: Dry Contact, 3A @ 30V AC/DC. Connect Emergency button inputs; Door strike control outputs

Download SIP Config Tool (64-bit installer or ZIP package) from:

- Run the installer.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
ZIP Package
- Extract the ZIP file.
- Keep all extracted files together (do not move or delete individual files).
- Launch the application by double-clicking the
.exefile.
If Windows displays “Windows protected your PC,” click More info → Run anyway.
Search and Configure Device IP
- Click Search Devices
- When SIP-711 appears on the list, check if its IP address matches your network
- If not, select the device (will highlight with blue) and enter the correct IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway under Device Information (on the top)
- Click Save, wait about 10 seconds, then click Search Devices again

Access Web Interface
Double-click the SIP-711 in the list. The default web browser will open the login page

- Username: admin
- Password: 123456
- If the page doesn’t load, check your IP configurations again.
Check Network Settings
Once logged in, verify that Primary and Secondary DNS addresses match your network.
If changes are needed, go to the Network page, adjust settings, and save

Enter SIP Account Information
Navigate to Sip Setting Page
Once there fill in the information provided by your VoIP system admin:
- User Account – paging account username
- Password – account password
- Display name – shown on your network
- Server’s address – SIP domain or registrar
- Server port – usually 5060
- Outbound proxy address and port – if required
- Authentication User – Authorization ID (if required)
- Save
- Click Logout and log back in to apply the settings.
Note: The screenshot below is only for the example.

After logging back in, the System Overview should show Server Status: Connected and display your SIP server address.

If it does not, verify SIP credentials and DNS servers.
Configure Session Audio Settings
Navigate to Work Settings → Intercom.
- Input Channel: Leave at MIC
- Input Gain (Volume): not implemented
- AEC Level: optional echo/noise cancellation
- Auto Answer: 0 (paging/intercom starts automatically)
- Ring Volume: not implemented
- Talk Volume: set for clear audio (0-100)
- Set Codec Priority: Enable all three codecs and set priority in this order:
- G.722 – preferred (if supported)
- G.711u – most compatible, recommended for U.S.
- G.711a – for European systems.

Link to a speaker or a group of speakers
Staying on the same page:
- Enable ‘Remote Audio Forwarding’
- Set Protocol Type to ‘YA‘ to use standard Linortek IP speakers.
- Specify target address for broadcast:
- Individual Speaker: <IP_address>:8878
- Speaker Group: 224.100.1.x:8878 (replace x with group number)
- All Devices: 255.255.255.255:8878.
- Save.
- Log out and log back in to Apply.
Security and Maintain
Current password change:
- Navigate to More → Security
- Enter and confirm new password
- Save
- Log out to confirm
Reset or Upgrade Firmware:
- Navigate toMore → Maintenance
- Upgrade the software:
- Choose File from your PC
- Click Upgrade
- Click Reboot to finish the process
- Navigate to Maintenance page and confirm the version is upgraded
- Clicking Reset will restore the device to factory defaults and permanently erase all your configurations
- Click Reboot to reboot the speaker.

Connect the SNOM PA1+:
The SNOM PA1+ is PoE enabled, meaning you can receive both power and data from a PoE switch. If PoE switch is available:
- Connect an RJ45 cable to the Ethernet port
- Connect the other end of the RJ45 cable to your network to establish network connectivity
If PoE switch is not available:
- use a 12VDC power supply (not provided) to the Power jack to provide power, then connect an RJ45 cable to the Ethernet connector.
Connect the SNOM PA1+ to the Netbell-AU-711
Plug the 3.5mm Stereo cable to the Line Out port of the SNOM PA1+ into THE Line In connector of the Netbell-AU-711
Connect Red and Green wires from SNOM PA1+ I/O1 (the connector is provided) to AU-711 Mute (from left to right pin 3 and 4)

Setup the Communication Priority
Understanding Broadcast Priority
When using multiple Netbell-AU-711 devices within the same system, you must establish a priority hierarchy to manage competing broadcast signals. This hierarchy determines which device’s audio takes precedence when multiple broadcast commands are sent simultaneously.
Setting Up Speaker Communication
To enable voice message broadcasting to your speakers, you must configure the communication path between your Netbell-AU-711 devices and speakers (zones). This ensures proper signal routing and audio delivery throughout your facility.
Configuration Steps:
- Double-click the device in the NACT app to open the configuration window
- Click the Control 1 tab
- Configure the following options
- Key Input Mode: Encode
- Select one of these options:
- Unicast: enter its IP address below
- Multicast: enter Group Number below
- Broadcast: Sends audio to all available devices on this LAN
- Leave Target field empty
- Priority: Choose based on your needs:
- Set to 1 if you want this device to override other broadcasts
- Set to 0 if you want other broadcasts to override this device
Click Save to apply the configuration

Important Note: To give VoIP phone paging lead priority (so alarms can play even if another device is broadcasting to the same speaker group) set its priority to 1.
Configuring SNOM PA1+ Call Activation
Purpose
To prevent unwanted white noise from speakers during call inactivity, you must configure the SNOM PA1+ dry contact output. This connection is pre-wired to your Netbell-AU-711 for convenience.
Initial Setup
- Locate the Device IP Address
- The SNOM PA1+ uses DHCP by default
- After connecting the SNOM PA1+ to the network, you can connect a headphone to the Line Out port
- Press the IP Address/Reset button once, the device will play the current IP address
- Access the SNOM PA1+ Web Interface
- Enter the device IP address in your web browser
- The SNOM PA1+ control panel will load without requiring credentials for initial access
- You may configure login credentials if desired, or leave default settings
Call Signal Configuration
Configure the I/O 1 pins to provide a signal when there is an incoming call:
- On the side menu navigate to Setup – Action URL Settings.
- For Incoming call enter: http://127.0.0.1/dummy.htm?pa1_pin2=on&settings=save
- For On Disconnected enter: http://127.0.0.1/dummy.htm?pa1_pin2=off&settings=save
Click Apply and Save

VoIP Account Configuration
Prerequisites
IMPORTANT: Before proceeding with this configuration, you MUST register this paging device with your VoIP service provider. Once registered, you will receive provisioning instructions containing the necessary SIP information required to complete the setup below.
Configuration Steps
After obtaining the SIP information from your phone system administrator, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Identity1 section in the control panel
- Configure the following parameters using the information provided by your VoIP service
- Identity Active: Set to ON
- Display Name: Enter your Paging Account Name
- Account: Enter Paging account Username (Match to your VoIP Provisioning instructions)
- Password: Enter Paging account Password (Match to your VoIP Provisioning instructions)
- Registrar: Enter Paging account SIP Domain (Match to your VoIP Provisioning instructions)
- Outbound Proxy: Enter Paging account Outbound Proxy (Match to your VoIP Provisioning instructions)
Troubleshooting Tip: If the device fails to register with your VoIP service, add: ; transport=tls after the outbound proxy.
Example for Ring Central North America: sip12.ringcentral.com:5096; transport=tls
- Authentication Username: The Paging Account Authorization ID (Match to your VoIP Provisioning instructions)
Click Apply and Save to complete configuration
