Overview
The iTrixx-LHM system is a long-range wireless monitoring and control solution designed for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure applications. It consists of one central server and up to 100 remote client devices.
The system enables reliable data collection and remote control over long distances using LoRa radio communications, even in environments where traditional wired or Wi-Fi connections are impractical.
iTrixx-LHM is intended for facilities that require continuous monitoring and centralized data access with minimal wiring and maintenance.
Key Capabilities
The iTrixx-LHM system allows users to:
- Monitor remote equipment status and meter readings
- Collect digital input signals (alarms, switches, sensors)
- Configure automated triggers and presets
- Store and export operational data
- Integrate with external systems via database or JSON API
All system management is performed through a secure web-based interface.
Communication Range and Environment
The iTrixx-LHM system uses LoRa (Long Range) radio technology, which is optimized for low-power, long-distance communication. This operates at 915MHz utilizing the ISM band for license-free usage throughout North America.
Actual communication range depends on environmental conditions.
| Best Performance Conditions | Reduced Performance Conditions |
| Clear line-of-sight between devices | Thick walls |
| No metal, concrete, or earthen obstructions | Steel structures |
| Elevated antenna placement | Below grade placement |
| Outdoor or open-area deployment | Heavy machinery interference |
Typical ranges may vary from several hundred meters in dense industrial environments to several miles in open areas.
System Architecture
The iTrixx-LHM system follows a centralized architecture:
- One server acts as the main controller and data hub
- Multiple clients communicate wirelessly with the server
- All data is stored locally on the server with the option to export to a database
- Users access the system through a web browser
This architecture provides:
- Centralized management
- Reduced wiring requirements
- Scalable deployment
- Easy expansion

- Maintain line-of-sight where possible
- Acceptable (works but reduced range):
- Light walls (drywall, wood)
- Some furniture
- Glass
- Avoid when possible:
- Thick concrete
- Metal panels
- Steel structures
- Underground or below-grade placement
- Large machinery between server and client(s)
- Acceptable (works but reduced range):
Client Installation Important Notes
- Before installing the system, complete the configuration and confirm that communication between the server and client is functioning properly
- The Digital inputs are designed for dry contact closure signals only (such as relay contacts or switches). Do not apply external voltage to these inputs
- Refer to Appendix 1 for Digital Input Wiring Schematic
- Mount near monitored equipment
- Note: Mounting hardware is not provided with the device. Install the enclosure using hardware appropriate for the mounting surface.

iTrixx-LHM-C-AC Model Installation
The AC-powered client can be connected using either the provided power cable (110–120 VAC) or hardwired to a 100–240 VAC supply.
Wiring Procedure
- Route the power cable or supply wires through the cable gland labeled “Power” on the enclosure.
- Tighten the gland by screwing the cap to secure the cable and maintain enclosure sealing.
- To access the power supply terminals, remove the four screws securing the internal mounting plate. This allows easier access to the power supply wiring terminals.
- Connect the AC input wires to the power supply terminals:
- L (Live)
- N (Neutral)
- G (Ground)
Provided Power Cable Wire Colors
| Wire Color | Connection |
