When first configuring your Netbell, you will need to verify the time and date on your home page. Your Netbell is configured by default to use Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5) and will automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time. If your location is not in the Eastern Time zone, please make sure to set your Time Zone first. Using an incorrect time zone will cause the bells to ring at the wrong time.

To set your Time Zone:

• Go to Settings > Time/Date
• Enter your local Time Zone (for example, -5 for Eastern Time Zone, -6 for Central Time Zone, -7 for Mountain Time Zone, -8 for Pacific Time Zone)
• Make sure the Use NTP Update box is checked (when this box is checked, the Netbell will update its time from the NTP server every 30 minutes by default)

Note: If an ethernet connection is not supplied during normal operation, the Netbell will be unable to receive NTP updates. This can lead to a misalignment of you schedule over time. To fix this provide an ethernet connection and either manually correct the time in the time textbox or set NTP Interval text box to 1, receive an NTP update, and set it back to 30 afterwards.

Configuring your bell schedule:

1. Go to Services -> Bells
2. In the Name textbox enter a name for the scheduled event
3. Set the time using the dropdown boxes next to the time label. The following is the format for time HR:MIN:SEC. Note: Your entry needs to be in 24HR format. Ex. 3PM -> 15:00:00
4. Set the duration for the bell using the following format. # + drop box selection (mS,Sec,Min)
5. Skip if recurring bells are needed. Select the calendar drop-down and select a date.
6. Click Add

Your scheduled bell now exists, by default it will ring bells on outputs 1 and 2, M-F. To change this simply click the circles associated to toggle between on and off.

Saving your bell schedules:

Save your bell schedules to create backups in case of data loss or to switch in and out multiple schedules.

To do so click download in the lower right, you should see a screen with a CSV representation of your schedule. Copy the entirety of this data including #start into notepad and save as a .txt file.

Uploading bell schedules:

As if you were creating a bell schedule entry, enter #upload in the Name textbox and click add. You should be prompted with the bells upload page, click Choose File and select the desired bell schedule. Click upload and your bell schedule will be applied.

Wiring your push button:

1. Open the Netbell’s casing, near the DI terminals you should find two switches labeled IN1 and IN2. Push the switch to PU for the DI terminals you wish to use.
2. Reapply casing.
3. Connect both cables of the push button to the two PC IN terminals associated with the switch in the PU position. IE. IN1 or IN2. Note: If 2 sets of cables exist use the NO set to ring bells when pressed.

Configuring digital input:

From the web server go to Services -> In/Out.

1. Click the edit icon for the digital input terminals used and enter the following
2. Check “USE”
3. Display : “Dot”
4. Relay L/T:  Enter Bell output number you would like to activate followed by T to trigger the Relay output or L to link the Relay to the Input’s state. For example 1T
5. Command L/Z/N/I: “Norm”
6. Click Save

Bell Duration:

By default, bells will ring for 3 seconds whenever triggered by a digital input. To change this, do the following

1. Go to Services -> Relays
2. Click the edit icon for the # entry you provided for “Relay L/T” Ie. “1T” -> edit Bell No. 1
3. Enter a numerical value for pulse width (how long the bell will ring)
4. Set the pulse width multiplier to mS,Sec, or Min (Unit of measurement applied to pulse width)
5. Click Save
