Real-World Applications
Since 90 percent of machine maintenance is based upon hours instead of miles, the iTrixx is an ideal tool for keeping up with preventative maintenance schedules. This device can help extend the life cycle and performance of powered equipment as well as tracking a range of equipment across a warehouse, construction site, or multi-location company. The iTrixx® Wireless Hour Meter has proven its value across various industries.
Monitoring Production Machine Runtime for Preventative Maintenance
A leading American tea company with multiple factories and hundreds of production machines faced challenges tracking runtime for each machine as their business expanded. They needed a solution to collect machine runtime data from each site and automatically send it to their management system (API). After discovering the iTrixx-NHM online, they installed one hour meter on each machine. This data collection automation has saved the company thousands of dollars in machine maintenance and prevented costly shutdowns due to timely maintenance.

Monitoring Machine Uptime/Downtime and Production Counts
Public Address systems are essential tools for communication, primarily used for making announcements. However, updating older systems with features like break time alerts or emergency notifications would be expensive, or even impossible. As a result, there’s a growing demand for a simple solution that can add new features to an existing system.

Frequently asked questions
How can I automatically collect and export data from multiple meters?
Yes – our HourMeter Collector desktop application allows you to:
- Monitor all hour meters on your network in real-time
- Export data automatically to CSV files, which can be opened in spreadsheet software or imported into database systems
- Customize data collection frequency (default is every 2 minutes)
Does my meter require an Internet connection to function?
No – your meter works completely independently of Internet connectivity. All counting and data are saved locally on the device itself. Your meter will continue to track time and maintain all your settings even during Internet outages.
What happens when the battery on the board is fully drained, and how long does it take to recharge?
The only function for the battery onboard is to power the board’s internal clock. All settings and meter information are safely stored in permanent memory, so no data will be lost if the battery drains. When machines are powered back on after maintenance, a fully depleted battery will recharge automatically within 5 hours.
What is the meter’s power consumption?
Power consumption varies based on relay usage: Standard operation: 90-100 mA; with both relays active: 120-130 mA
